KissKiss HugHug™ was created by close friends Felecia & Jacqueline. Both are new mums who found themselves self-conscious when faced with the thought of breast feeding their new additions in public. Deciding to do something about it, the KissKiss HugHug breastfeeding cover was born.

When I first had Charlotte I was so excited to take her out and show her off.  Reality soon hit after finding myself flashing my boobs at strangers on a few occasions.  If it wasn’t the memory of Charlotte pulling my muslin wrap down leaving me completely exposed, it was the battle to try and get Charlotte onto my breast when I couldn’t actually see her under the wrap that completely turned me off breastfeeding in public.  When I tried the first KissKiss HugHug breastfeeding cover prototype I couldn’t believe how easy and relaxed breastfeeding in public could be.  I started going out again and living the lifestyle I used to – but now with my beautiful Charlotte.

Being mobile and out and about is incredibly important to me.  I swore that when I had Zach he would fit into my life and not the other way round.  So when I had an appointment or met up with our friends, we went out.  Because I didn’t feel comfortable breastfeeding in public, I fed Zach formula instead.  I was so happy when I used our KissKiss HugHug breastfeeding cover for the first time.  No risk of flashing at strangers and being able to see Zach while he fed was amazing.  It was out with the formula and back in with breastfeeding.  I haven’t looked back since!

We started off small, making KissKiss HugHug breastfeeding covers for ourselves, family and friends.  We wanted to create a breastfeeding cover fashion label so that mums can feel stylish when they breastfeed in public.  As a result, the KissKiss HugHug breastfeeding cover very quickly took on a life of its own with orders for our breastfeeding covers becoming too large to handle for two mums with new babies!  So at lunch one day, after being approached yet again about where we bought our breastfeeding cover from, we decided to create  our own business, designing, manufacturing and retailing breastfeeding covers - and KissKiss HugHug™ was born!
